we rented the house for a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife, and had 12 of our friends and family stay with us, and it was perfect! everyone we invited literally said “wow this place is awesome”,plenty of room for everyone and the house was beautiful and set up perfect for our big group. the lower level with the pool table and shuffleboard came in very handy since we had rain most of the weekend, but were able to walk downtown and enjoy the city one of the days. the hosts were very responsive and had lots of good suggestions for things to do and places to eat. we hope to stay there again, and I would highly recommend it for anyone with a large group. long story short, it was everything I hoped for and more 10/10

Ever since I booked the Airbnb, Starkhaus was immediately communicative about what they need from us, what we need from them, and the routes to take if anything is needed in the future.
need was in the house, and everything else we would need was less than a five minute drive away. Was definitely worth it, and if we ever come back to vacation in Door County, we will definitely consider staying here again.

Spacious and beautiful home for a large group with multiple gathering areas.

Starkhaus was the perfect spot to stay in Sister Bay! The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive to our group. The house was beautiful, clean, and in the perfect location; 15 minute walk and you are in town, which we loved.

I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!

We had such a great time! The kitchen was beautiful and everything was easy to find! Starting our mornings with coffee on the screened porch, feeling like we’re sitting in the trees was a daily favorite! We played games in the game room with a space for cocktails and snacks both downstairs and up. Each bedroom was beautiful, comfortable, and had a large television. We easily walked to town! We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better spot for girls trip! Easily walkable to SisterBay shops!!!

We enjoyed staying at Starkhaus. The only issues we had were minor and the hosts were very responsive to those. It’s a great property!

Absolutely loved this place!!! We traveled with 15 people and had more than enough room. Comfortable beds, wonderful amenities and super responsive host. Walking distance to activities in Sister Bay and surrounded by beautiful fall trees! I would definitely recommend this place and am hoping to visit again next year!!

Lovely place for a large group- separate spaces to hang and play plus plenty of good-sized bedrooms. Hosts are dedicated communicators!

It was a beautiful& spacious stay with walking distance to town and the waterfront of Sister Bay. It was exactly what we needed for a small family gathering. It was peaceful and comfortable. We cooked family meals and watched the super-bowl. The kids played pool and shuffleboard and we were grateful to bring our dog.

A beautiful, thoughtfully designed home with a great layout for hosting multiple families (three young families of four, in our case). A very responsive and flexible host with easy check-in and (especially) check-out processes. We would definitely return.
