There were just a few small hickups upon our arrival but I communicated these to the host and let them know. They appreciated the feed back. We were a group of eight and everyone enjoyed the home and the amenities. I would recommend this location for a group…plenty of room!
Awesome Airbnb! We had an amazing stay at Starkhaus in Sister Bay WI. It is an amazing home with lots of space for a family to enjoy. Especially the game room, screened in porch, and the bonfire pit nestled under beautiful canopy of trees. The house is in a neighborhood but, very private. It has a shared driveway with another cottage, but that was not a problem at all. The house was very clean, comfortable beds and linens. It was very close to downtown Sister Bay which was wonderful! I would highly recommend staying staying here!
Starkhaus was is a great spot that actually exceeded our expectations. Extremely well provisioned kitchen, excellent layout for fun family gatherings while providing private and quiet bedrooms. We used the downstairs bedrooms /kitchen area and game room for our two young couples both with infants ( so unfortunately due to naps and early bedtimes we did not get to take full advantage of the pool table/shuffle board/etc but it’s awesome!). Some many “living and relaxing” areas inside and out that we could not use them all! Very private , wooded location that is an easy walk to all of sister bay’s town shops and restaurants. Perhaps the best part of the stay was Mitch and Katie were incredible responsive to even the smallest questions and were a pleasure to work with. We were in Sister Bay for a wedding so not sure if we will ever be back, but if so Starkhouse will be our top choice. Thanks Mitch and Katie for making it so easy, worry-free, and enjoyable!
Everything was perfect in this charming and comfortable house. It was so nice to have plentiful bedding including lots of throw blankets to use throughout the house. The kitchen and bathrooms were nicely stocked even for a larger group. The amount of beds was perfect and all of mattresses were super comfy. The wooded setting was so peaceful and just what we all needed to catch up with friends, but still close to what all of Sister Bay has to offer. These were some of the quickest responding hosts I have ever had at an air bnb. Any questions we had were answered within minutes. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back someday.
Starkhaus is beautiful and sits in a shady, wooded neighborhood that is extremely private, yet within walking distance of the bustling activity on Sister Bay’s main drag, including the marina and public beach. The hosts are extremely attentive. We had no major issues, only questions about minor situations that arose each day. I posed those questions to our hosts, and they always responded almost immediately, which was greatly appreciated. Our entire family had a wonderful time at Starkhaus.
Starkhaus is a great place to stay when visiting Door County! The hosts went above and beyond to make we needed anything before, during and after our trip.
The house is great for large groups. We had 12 people from age 7-78! We had more than enough room to hang out and relax when needed. The games in the basement were a big hit with the kids! The house is well stocked with what you need to have an enjoyable time! Location is great. We brought bikes and it was an easy ride into Sister Bay!
Starkhaus had a well stocked kitchen, tons of linens and was clean. We enjoyed the indoor games and walked to downtown Sister Bay daily. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Beautiful home with more than enough space for large groups! Loved the open floor plan and all the amenities. Great digital guidebook which helped with planning our days. Amazing, timely responses to all questions. Our family would definitely visit again!!
Loved this place. Beautiful wooded area. The house was completely updated and so clean. We enjoyed the basement games as a family. Mitch and Katie went above and beyond, always making sure to respond quickly or respond with all instructions before even asking.

Lovely , clean , quiet, roomy, place. Well appointed and nothing was not addressed. The wifi is weak and showers need to be staggered but otherwise, just about perfect!
