Northwoods Farmstead

Very cute place, and the renovations that have been made look great! Clean and comfortable and the location makes it easy to get around to all of our favorite spots. We will definitely be back!

Great place for an extended family vacation. Centrally located on the upper peninsula. We packed in a lot of hiking at nearby parks, biking, swimming at Sister Bay Beach, and some paddling too. Close to the grocery store and a well-stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The kids enjoyed s’mores. around the fire pit and ping-pong in the garage. Our pup enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and walks on the road. We had up to 10 people at a time. Plenty of sleeping space for our group and beds were comfy. Three newly-remodeled bathrooms were gorgeous, impeccably clean and nice to have for our big group. Host was responsive and expectations were clear. Hope to visit again soon.

Great, clean, and fun location! The property is right off the highway for Sister Bay and so everything is very accessible! The owners were super responsive and willing to help answer any questions we had during our stay!

Very nice large property! All the amenities you could need. Plenty of space for people to hang out, play yard games (including the horseshoes in the front), awesome outdoor bar to spend time together at. 5 minute drive from downtown Sister Bay or about a 25-30 minute walk. There is a wonderful wine bar 8 minute walk to the south with a nice outdoor seating area. Only a 20 minute drive to the ferry. Everything at this place worked out fantastic!

Great house, great location!

Our family reserved Northwoods Homestead to spend time with our children who live in three different states. This was precious time together made more enjoyable by the careful consideration Mitch and Katie have made to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. This home is immaculate and well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. Clean towels and comfortable beds added comfort. Although we enjoyed the beautiful Door County parks and villages, staying at home was very pleasant too. Many home features created good fun: ping pong table; fire pit where we enjoyed s’mores; corn hole and horseshoes; and a large gathering space for games and conversation. Thanks, Mitch and Katie, we had a great time.

The Northwoods farmhouse was wonderful! We loved all of the amenities at the house, including the fire pit, ping pong table, plush towels and blankets, toiletries and supplies, paddle boards for the beach, etc. as well as the location and proximity to Sister Bay and the other towns in Door County. Having a full bath for each bedroom and the open kitchen and living room area gives everyone plenty of space. Being able to bring our dogs with us made the trip even more enjoyable! The hosts were very easy to get a hold of and responsive to any questions or requests from our group. We had a wonderful long weekend and hope to come back again sometime!

The house was spacious and a perfect location for our group! Very clean and loved the multiple bathrooms for our group of women. Only thing I can think of would be that the blinds are not room darkening in the bedrooms, so bring some eye masks if sunlight in the morning bothers you.

Great place to stay right on the edge of Sister Bay! Plenty of room for our group of 8 adults, 1 toddler, 2 infants, and 2 dogs. Hosts were very responsive and great at offering suggestions for what to do in the area. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Nick and Katie are amazing hosts with a beautiful house. As they stated in listing Highway noise does happen but they clearly stated it!!very nice and thank you!!!

The house was perfect for a larger party and had comfortable sleeping space and beds. The updated bathrooms and kitchen can’t go unnoticed! The house had a very clean and newer feel. Perfect location to downtown and easy to get to. We will be visiting again!
